Shell Lamps with Rose Motifs

The amazing rose motifs on these

lamps are the result of hours of

minutely detailed cut-work, so that the

tiny pieces of shell become flowers.

When light shines through them, they

are quite heavenly

Afrofutura:Lighting

what’s most fun about the Afrofutura ranges

we’re working on for I.Nation and ACE, our store

at Arts on Main, is that we dont have to follow any

rules, and get to create a new notion of Africa.

Here, our curl lamps pop in Congolese Waxprint and

a Drum shade inteplays Kitenge  cloth, Kuba Raffia, Cowrie, Pompom and Mirror. Step one is just giving

ourselves permission to be playful rather than ascribe to any preconceptions
